Inexpensive Holiday Decor

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to do a quick post on some inexpensive decor for the holidays! Who doesn't want their home to feel more comfortable and festive right? However, there's a lot of us who want to keep the costs down while doing it.

I got these 2 candle votives at the 99 cent store! Yes they were only a dollar each and they are so cute. They had various kinds in different colors as well. I got one that casts the shadow of a leaf and one with a pumpkin shadow.

I arranged them on top of television stand right next to this cute porcelain owl that I also got at the 99 cent store. He is super cute! And it also functions as coin bank! I think owls are cute all year round but especially during fall.

Today in the mail I received this catalog, which is what inspired me write this post. Henri Bendel sent it to me to advertise their holiday items, but wouldn't this make the most adorable coffee table book? Best of all it's free! I love how it is outlined with the silver trim.

3.1 Phillip Lim

So last month Target launched a new collaboration line with designer Phillip Lim. Supposedly all the bags sold out right away! However I went to a Target yesterday and I saw a few of the large totes AND they were on sale!!

Crazy, right?! I was going to buy one for myself, but I figured I really don't need one. You see I just ordered the Mini Pashli from Saks. I am so excited for this adorable bag to arrive! Be sure to look out for a post on it next weekend! But if you do want a Phillip Lim for Target bag, I encourage you to check out your local store! You just never know ;)

Pretty in Pink

I love nail polish! While I do have a small collection of nail polish I just cannot stop buying new colors! I went to Marshalls yesterday and was impressed to see a huge assortment of Essie polishes. All the colors were absolutely beautiful but I limited myself to only one polish. The color I chose is called Lovie Dovie. It's a fun pink more suitable for the summer but hey who is gonna notice.

The best thing was that the polishes were only $4.99 about 3 dollars off their normal retail price. Not bad!

Statement Necklaces

It didn't take me very long to fall in love with statement necklaces. Statement pieces can bring an entire outfit together. They just add so much to a plain boring top. A simple outfit looks more fabulous with the right piece. I recently purchased the necklace above from the J. Crew factory store (On Sale!) and I have to admit, it's perfect for this time of the year.

I am obsessed with the colors the dark royal blue and that gorgeous green that you just have to see in person to appreciate. Love!!

Welcome!

Hello World!

You know, I was, and to be honest still am, very hesitant about starting a blog. I absolutely LOVE reading other people's blogs. My favorite blogger would have to be Wendy Nguyen from Wendy's Look Book. But I figured why not, what's the worst that could happen right? I truly believe this blog will give me a chance to discover myself and my true fashion style.

My style has certainly changed quite a bit over the last 5 or so years. In high school all I ever wore were solid-colored shirts, jeans and plain white shoes. My hair was always pulled up in a high ponytail with a big bow right on top of the elastic.

Now while in college, I am still struggling to discover what my true style is. Is someone asked you to describe your style in just a few short words what would you say? Preppy? Edgy? Perhaps Preppy with an edge? I really don't know what I would say. Nowadays, I love wearing dresses, skirts, boots and on occasion I'll wear jerseys as well!

I really would love to define my style and tastes and this is the best time to do it. I'm not a kid anymore, I'm about to turn 21! But I still haven't been completely exposed to the world either, after all I do live only 8 hours away from where I grew up.

I would love anyone who is interested to join me on the beginning of this journey and until next time!
